Who are we?

Ducasse Paris, founded by Alain Ducasse, is excited to unveil MUNI ALAIN DUCASSE, an elegant dining destination offering contemporary French cuisine with a view of the Japanese garden. The culinary experience is curated by Chef Alessandro Guardiani, who brings a decade of expertise from Alain Ducasse’s prestigious restaurants in Monaco, London, and Paris. The overall dining experience is managed by Antoine Juhue, our Food & Beverage Director with a background from Hotel Plaza Athénée and ten years with Alain Ducasse.

Ducasse Paris oversees more than thirty restaurants across ten countries, including Michelin-starred establishments, and manages a network of 500 hotels and restaurants in Europe under the Les Collectionneurs brand. Additionally, the organization operates an international culinary education division in partnership with Sommet Education and has developed artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate and bean-to-cup coffee shops over the past thirty years.

Position overview:  By joining us as a Sommelier at the Michelin-starred MUNI Alain Ducasse restaurant, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Alain Ducasse. You will gain invaluable experience not only from your colleagues but also from one of the most renowned chefs in the world, striving to achieve the highest standards in professionalism and service.

 

What will you do?

You will love your job and take pride in serving our guests:

You will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of mise en place and serving alongside Mr. Antoine Juhue, the Director of our gastronomic restaurant and Mr. Hiroyuki Fukutomi Chef Sommelier.

Additionally, you will:

·       Share your passion for hospitality with our guests, always keeping in mind that your main goal is to help them create unforgettable experiences

·       Recommend food and wine pairings based on guests’ personal tastes and food choices

·       Follow the pairings elaborated by the F&B Director, Chef Sommelier and the Executive Chef

·       Give your contribution in the wine pairings elaboration

·       An excellent knowledge of our food and beverage products to guide our guests during their dinner

·       Ensure wines are served at the appropriate temperature and in the proper glassware

·       Promote wine sales and engage with our guests to create a curated dining experience

·       Maintain wine storerooms, ensuring correct temperature, cleanliness and organization

·       Train team members on wine related topics

·       Assist in day-to-day operations, provide a floor coverage

·       Demonstrate self-motivation, excellent organizational skills and attention to details

·       Demonstrate responsiveness, initiative, and dynamism

Profil

What will you bring?

You are a Certified Sommelier or equivalent certification showcasing expertise and deep understanding of wine

Extensive knowledge of wines, including varieties, vintages, styles and regions

Strong understanding of food and wine principles

You will bring your unique personality and passion to the role and to the team

You possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to customer service

You will have the ability to remain positive in challenging situations

You enjoy working in a team and you are able to manage conversations in English easily
